Harrison Ashby
This boys looks really good, watched the match last night and thought he was the Portuguese lad we had signed and was having a much better game than I had previously seen him play.
Surprise ,this the Scottish lad we have 17 years old, played with great skill .Watch the highlights,he starts the play for the only goal in the game.
Had a guy in front of me and told me I was watching a future England captain,I don"t think he was pissed but worked for the club when Rio was signed,he was referring to Batiste who was the other Centre Back aged 15!!. I thought he looked OK but I said he would have to go bit even to be better than Alesi who now is out on loan.
I have to say we some really good defenders hopefully one or two will do a Declan Rice

Re: Harrison Ashby
Well Sven I am not in the know that much but in Holland there has definitely an improvement.I think 2 seasons ago he had a bad injury and I felt he played very cautiously ,he now appears quicker and is willing to beat players, the club are going to have to make a decision on him by the end of this season.I am not 100% sure what happens to these players once they get passed 23.
The other question was about Scully. He used to play midfield and now they have made him a striker. He reminds me of Martin Waghorn,Kevin Davies in shape but he lacks in aerial threat,he does not run the channels but because he is a lump willing presser with a hard shot he is a reasonable at this level as the team is a bit lightweight physically on the striking front.

Hammerama
Most people appreciate the updates on young players from those that watch them

What is happening with Nathan Holland?
Seems to have been on the verge of a step up for a long time and thought he might have been involved at Newport in the League Cup.
What’s the word about their plans for him?

Re: Harrison Ashby
I feel i must respond to some of the negative posts to the above topic.
I thought the common denominator is that we are all West Ham supporters.
We probably have the best group of young players since the Joe Cole, Carrick era. Maybe without the talisman but collectively its exciting times. This squad have now gone 13 games unbeaten and they are a great watch.
There is a number of players that may be sent out on loan, released or make the first team squad surely we would all like to see this.
We have a coach in my opinion will either take over from Pellegrini or will manage a league club in the next 2 years. His partnership with Potts is awesome getting performances from young inexperienced or from seasoned under 23 players
eg Coventry,Kemp,Holland,Johnson etc.
Interestingly there was a decent crowd at Dagenham on Wednesday and I can see the support increasing.
These games are now very competitive with players now seeing a roadmap to their playing career.
I like so many others enjoy watching players who are passionate in wearing a West Ham shirt

I have seen praise for what was an inexperienced and somewhat jury-rigged back line against Valencia B.
